KAMAL XXIX (Ex: Coleroon), a Trailing Suction Hopper Dredger, was owned by the Chennai Port. It is presently owned and operated by Jaisu. The dredger is presently located at Kandla Port, and it has undergone major reconstruction works carried out entirely and independently by Jaisu.

Major Overhaul and Repairs Undertaken for KAMAL XXIX:

• Entire operating system for the hydraulic doors was replaced.
• Two sets of generators were removed and replaced.
• Major overhaul was performed on a previously installed generator.
• Dredge engines and dredge pumps were completely overhauled and repaired.
• Major replacement of the pipelines was undertaken.
• Draghead steering and propeller systems underwent major overhaul.
• House was altered according to the new accommodation requirement and was improved with better facilities.
• Heating, ventilating, and air-conditioning (HVAC) facilities were installed as a centralized system.
• Electronic equipments concerning navigation and dredging were placed on the bridge.
• A fully working machine shop was made available.
• Fixed and semi-portable firefighting systems were installed.
