Both the barges were purchased as cargo barges, but with our expertise in altering and changing any vessel to meet our requirements, we set forward to convert them into hopper barges.

Major Changes and Repairs Undertaken for Both the Barges:

• Bottom doors (five nos. each on both the starboard and port sides) were installed.
• Operating system for the hydraulic doors was installed.
• Side ballast tanks were constructed and installed.
• Completely new generators (Ashok Leyland) were installed.
• Firefighting equipment was installed.
• Accommodations made for crew.
• Various general service pumps installed.
