We constructed the barges KAMAL V and KAMAL VI within a year with no prior experience in shipbuilding and ship repairs. Put into service in the year 2001, these hopper barges have been registered and approved by Customs (Thane, Maharashtra) and have proven their worth over time. They have been rigorously tested over the years: we have used them for carrying dredged material ranging anywhere from sand to rock with strength of 70 MPa.
