KAMAL II had a very large draft to work in Kandla and nearby ports. Consequently, Jaisu engineers went to the drawing table; after extensive deliberations and research on the stability and load-line requirements, major overhaul and plate changes were undertaken.

Further, the deck bottoms were completely changed. According to the regulations, the tanks were coated with cement. The house was changed for crew accommodation.

KAMAL II has been certified by the Port and Health Office for current regulations.
